gazdiné z kopaníc
gazdiné z kopaníc (roughly, "the farmwives from kopanice") is a local initiative built around home food production and neighbourly exchange – making use of what grows in the garden and what can be prepared at home, without relying on shops or system. it rests on the belief that honest home cooking and mutual support within a local community belong together.
the project produces home preserves, pickled vegetables and relishes, compotes, jams, tomato-based products (juices, ketchup and similar), and chutneys. the range also includes kimchi and seasonal fermented vegetables – cabbage, celeriac, leek, pear, rhubarb and more – alongside herbal teas and herbal salts. fresh vegetables, fruit and garden greens are occasionally available as well.
sales take place regularly at the trh sýpka (local food market) in moravské lieskové, supplemented by direct sales to acquaintances.
the aim isn't business, but abundance in every home and good, quality food on the table.
